Tip of the Week #348: The Simple Gift Trick I Wish I’d Kept Using

The other day, I read a blog post from a woman lamenting her struggle to find something to buy for her husband.  “Men are hard to buy for,” she said.

I suspect she’s right. I am a guy, and I don’t really want or need much. If she had called me, I would have been no help at all.

Sooo… I don’t know if this tip will help any of the girls reading this.

A few years ago, I started tracking gift ideas in the notes app on my phone. Whenever I overheard someone mention something they wanted, I made a mental note and added the idea to my list. When gift-buying season rolled around, I had ideas ready to go.

That simple habit worked beautifully.  Unfortunately, I recently realized that this year, for no good reason, I dropped the habit.  This Christmas, I’m back to scrambling again. 

Oh well. There’s always next year.  Still, it’s a good tip.  Next year, I am going to follow my own advice.  Maybe it will help you, too.
