A few months ago on a long summer road trip, I listened to the audiobook Apocalypse Never by Michael Shellenberger.
The subtitle says it all. Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts us All.
Mr. Shellenberger’s book is a cry in the wilderness these days. As climate change activists become increasingly shrill, we need voices of reason.
Mr. Shellenberger is a voice of reason. Chapter by chapter he dismantles the weak arguments of the climate change fanatics. In the end, he argues that the current climate change movement has all the makings of a religious movement. And, that’s essentially what it has become. Climate change is a new religion.
If you have been around as long as I have, you are quite used to failed climate change predictions. You’ve heard it all before.
If you are young just wait. The longer you live the more failed predictions you will hear.
If you’re interested in this topic, this book is worth your time. If you need a dose of hope during election season, this book is worth your time.
You can go ahead and ignore the climate change fanatics. The world is not coming to an end. Not anytime soon. You are going to live a long life. Plan accordingly.
Have hope. Set goals.
