If you are anything like me, and I know I am, sometimes you want to listen to a song over and over again. I do this often when I am up late answering emails. Sometimes a catchy, upbeat song will keep me going when I am tired. I like to listen to an old favorite over and over.
YouTube is a great place to find music. But, if you want to listen to a song multiple times, it’s not so great. Unless it is. There is a trick.
For example, I am up late right now. And, I am listening to an old favorite. I am listening to One Headlight by the Wallflowers. Here is the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzyfcys1aLM
Now, watch closely. If I insert the word REPEAT right before the “.com”, I can listen to the song all night long. Here is what it looks like: https://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch?v=Zzyfcys1aLM. Of course, the link is just going to take you over to listenonrepeat.com, but… personally, I like starting on YouTube.
Yeah. I know. You guys think I am over here listening to Latin chants. But, no. It’s late. Those guys would put me to sleep.
I am classics teacher. To stay awake at night, I rely almost exclusively on the classics. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Credence Clearwater Revival, Aerosmith, Guns-N-Roses, The Eagles, Z.Z. Top and (brace yourself, Aunt Vicki…) Tom Petty.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know the objections. Put your hands down.
Now go listen to your favorite song all day tomorrow.
