2024-2025 Class Schedule

Live Classes

Learn in real-time, interactive sessions.

We meet every weekday, two hours a week.

This gives students daily interaction with their target language.

Classes 24/7

If you cannot make it to the live classes, no problem!

Watch class whenever you want.

Or, use summer breaks to advance at your own pace.

Conversation

Come to class on Tuesdays and Thursdays to practice speaking with other students.

Live Online and Local Classes 2024-2025

September 4, 2024 – Regular classes resume

Online classes meet in the mornings Monday through Thursday for about a half hour.

On Mondays and Wednesdays we will read a text together.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will meet face to face to practice speaking our target language.

German: Monday - Thursday 7:00 - 7:25

Together, we will read through the series Deutsch für Auslander.  I took students through the first book in the series in 2023.  We will go through book one again this year, this time with conversational practice every Tuesday and Thursday.  This class is early.  Feel free to watch class later.

French: Monday - Thursday 7:30 - 7:55

Several years ago, my students and I started reading Le Français par la Métode Nature.  We are currently in chapter 31.  There are 50 chapters.

This fall, we will resume Le Français par la Métode Nature.

Latin 4: Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 8:25

This Fall, we will begin reading through Roma Aeterna by Hans Ørberg.

All students are welcome to join, but I highly recommend students first read Lingua Latina by Hans Ørberg.

Greek: Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 8:55

In the spring of 2024, we paused in chapter 19 of New Testament Greek by J. Gresham Machen.

While I intend to continue reading the same book in the fall of 2024, I am looking for something better.

I have been studying Greek for years and do not intend to stop.  But, the process is a long, slow struggle.

You are more than welcome to join me on the journey.

Spanish: Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 9:25

Spanish is moving to Compass Cinema.

We are still working out the details.  I will no longer offer live Spanish classes on this site.

The previous classes will remain on my site.

If you are just starting out, I recommend the Magic Key to Spanish by Margarita Madrigal.  I took students through the book a few years ago.  Those classes are available for site members.

Local French Classes Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30 - 4:15

If you live in Franklin, Tennessee, you are welcome to join me at my home for a local French One class this September.

We will read through the first ten chapters of Le Français par la Métode Nature.

This class is open to eight students.  Unfortunately, this class is currently full.  Contact me if you want to join the waitlist.

I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much I appreciate the way membership works.  I had my kids 7 yrs apart.  One finished Latin years ago and another will start this school year.  I SO appreciate the money that I will save using your website!  I recommend you to everyone that brings up Latin!  Again, THANK YOU!!

Your gift of teaching and style has sparked and instilled in her a LOVE for languages. I’m so grateful that I came across your programs at the perfect time.  You have been a huge blessing to us!

- Cassie

I wanted to thank you for teaching Latin. I’ve learned more in three months than in three years. And now Latin is my favorite subject! Thank you for all the time and effort you have put in to make this so much fun.

- Elizabeth

"Language learning deserves special attention.

It is, bar none, the best thing you can do to hone clear thinking. "
