For a long time, to track our spending, I used Mint as a budgeting app.

A month, or so, ago, Mint phased out.  (I honestly do not know where to place the commas in that sentence.)

In my quest for a replacement, I stumbled upon Rocket Money.

The truth is, my wife stumbled upon Rocket Money.  She told me about it, and I decided to check it out.  She found it around Christmas. I started using it a little after the start of the new year.

So far, so good.

Unfortunately, Rocket Money (unlike Mint) is not free.  On the other hand, I find Rocket Money more powerful and more accurate than Mint.  I suppose the old adage is still true. You get what you pay for.

Rocket Money has some nice features.  For example, if it detects a high bill, Rocket Money will offer to negotiate a lower price for you.

I decided to give this feature a shot. Sure enough, Rocket money successfully lowered my phone and internet bill.

Of course, I had to pay for this feature.  Rocket Money simply took a percentage of the savings.  It was a win win for both of us.

If you are trying declutter your budget this year, consider Rocket Money.

Just so you know, I am not in any way associated with rocket money.  I receive no compensation for sending out this email.  I just like what I have found.  Rocket Money helped me.  Perhaps, it will help you, too.
