I received this question:

Regarding your classes, if my 15-year-old begins your Latin program in September this coming year and is unable to finish it (struggles with the learning) by the end of the year can he continue until he completes it (i.e.,through the summer) or is it a hard start and finish date?  We have never really studied Latin.  We have done some memorization with it when we were involved with CC, but that’s it.

Here is my reply:

Good morning!

I apologize for the long delay.  Still traveling.  Currently in Palestinian territory.  Finally catching up this morning…

You can start and finish anytime.  I have two recommendations.  Both are completely flexible.

If you are using Visual Latin, it is a DVD series.  You start and finish when you want to, or are able to.  By the way, I always recommend Visual Latin first.  The live online classes on my site are advanced, next level, reading classes.

As for the live online classes, I have students who repeat the class two or three times until they fully understand.  I also have students who use only the recordings.  Here as well, you can come and go as they please.

For the live classes, there is a start and stop date.  But, I leave the recordings up indefinitely.  This gives the students completed schedule freedom.

Let me know if you need more help!
