Vulcan on Vacation!

We meet so many of you driving through Birmingham on your way home from the beach. Here’s something fun for your next trip.

Did you know Vulcan is the official symbol of Birmingham? He’s the Roman god of the forge—and the world’s largest cast iron statue!

At Bricks and Minifigs Vestavia Hills, we built our own LEGO Vulcan. You can take home your own mini version for $20!

🏖️ Take him with you on your travels—snap a few photos of Vulcan at your favorite spots and post him on our Facebook page.  We’d love to see where he ends up!

Miss a Tip of the Week?

I’ve been collecting all the LEGO Tips of the Week in one place!

Since our official website (https://bricksandminifigs.com/vestaviahills-al/) doesn’t allow a blog, I’m keeping a growing archive of tips here instead:

Whether you’re a lifelong LEGO fan or just getting started, you’ll find simple, practical advice for building, storing, cleaning, and getting more out of your bricks.

💬 And, if you have any tips to share, just reply to this email and I may add them in an upcoming LEGO tip of the week!

Cleaning Out the Attic?

At Bricks and Minifigs – Vestavia Hills, we pay cash or store credit for your loose LEGO. But here’s the deal:

👉 We can’t offer much for dirty or sticky bricks.
If you clean them before bringing them in, you’ll help us—and help yourself by getting a better offer!

Hope you all had a great Saturday! 😊

Happy building!

– Dwane Thomas

________________________________________________________________

Almost every Saturday, I send out a Tip of the Week.  The tip of the week is usually something I have picked up along the way that may make your life a little easier.

If you would like to hear from me (almost) every Saturday, just go to the home page of my site and plug in your name and email.   You will also get a free digital copy of my book on learning Latin (and almost anything else).  Just go here: https://dwanethomas.com/ and enter your name and email.

If you want to buy the digital book instead (because you just feel like buying me a cup of coffee) go here: https://dwanethomas.gumroad.com/l/fzixlh

If you are interested in learning Latin, you can go through the classes on my site 24/7.  I recommend the book Lingua Latina by Hans Ørberg.

If you tackle the book and find yourself bogged down, you may find the classes on my site helpful.  To join, just click here: https://dwanethomas.com/join/

If you want a more professionally filmed Latin learning experience, check out the best-selling DVD series: Visual Latin.

Or, if you want to skip Latin, and just jump right into learning English words from Latin and Greek roots, you may enjoy the series Word Up!  Warning.   Word Up! is a bit wacky.  You will learn a lot… but, you may find yourself rolling your eyes, too.

I teach other languages on my site, too.  The current schedule is here: https://dwanethomas.com/schedule/
