LEGO Tip of the Week #54: A Simple Trick for Runaway Bricks

Before we jump into the tip of the week…. I want to let you know.  We will be open Monday!  See you in the store!  

And, now on to this week’s tip.

If you’re working on a smaller LEGO set, don’t build directly on the floor or table. Build on a tray instead.

A large serving tray, cookie sheet, or shallow plastic bin makes a great LEGO building surface.

Why?

Because LEGO pieces have an amazing ability to hit the floor, bounce three times, and disappear under the heaviest piece of furniture in the room.

A tray keeps those runaway bricks contained. It also makes it easy to move your entire project if you need the table for something else.

Bonus Tip: Look for a tray with raised edges. Those little edges can save you a lot of time crawling around on the floor looking for one tiny piece.

Your knees will thank you. Your vacuum cleaner will, too.
