LEGO Tip of the Week: My Go-To Strategy for Finding LEGO Pieces Quickly
If you are anything like me (and, I know I am), I absolutely hate searching for LEGO pieces.
I know—it’s dumb. I helped my nephew, JR, open a Bricks and Minifigs store, and now I build sets all the time.
Still, I hate hunting for pieces. If I can’t find what I’m looking for within ten minutes, I’m done.
I tried organizing everything in small-parts containers. They have helped a lot and they keep me building. Without them, I would have quit long ago.
I also use another technique when I rebuild a used set.
As I search for a specific piece, I sort the other pieces around it by clicking them together.
This practice slowly shrinks the pile of bulk LEGO I need to dig through and sets up the pieces I’ll need for the next step. I am using this technique right now while building the Black Falcon castle.
You can see what I am talking about in the picture.
It’s a little thing, but it keeps me sane.
