Whenever I look for a book I go through several steps.

Since I tend to be rather frugal, I always start with our local library. You can check out audiobooks from your local library using the free Libby app.

To use Libby, you need a library card and, of course, the app.  I often find the library has the audiobook I am looking for.

For example, recently a friend of mine recommended Discipline is Destiny by Ryan Holiday.  I had to wait a few weeks, but it is now available.  I am going to listen to it on a long car ride today.

Only after looking at Libby do I check Scribd.  Scribd quite often has the audiobook I am looking for.

Finally, I will take a look at Audible.

If I need a physical copy of a book, again I first check the library.

If the library doesn’t have the book I am looking for, I take a look at Half Price Books.

To find out if an author has written other books, I check out bookfinder.com.

In my experience, bookfinder.com gives the most comprehensive list of an author’s work.  It’s a good place to do some quick research.

When it comes to books, there is also goodreads.com.  To be honest, I can’t handle goodreads.com.   I am easily distracted.  I find myself spending way too much time on that site.  So, I avoid it.  But, that’s just me.  Most people seem to love goodreads.com.

So, there you have it.  If you are looking for a hard-to-find book this Christmas season, these sites should help!
