July and August are just too hot in Tennessee.  I am going to try to stay inside.

Ergo… I am planning to teach several summer classes.

Here is what I am thinking at the moment.

  • A crash course English grammar (English grammar helps with Latin grammar, and vice versa.)
  • A history of the first century.  A history of Rome at the time of the New Testament.
  • Greek and Roman mythology… in Latin.  This would be a bonus Latin class for those who have been in Latin with me before.  Come if you like, but it would be best if you had finished First Year Latin by Robert Henle, or Visual Latin, or Lingua Latina chapters 1-19.
  • An experimental Greek class… I am trying out a new book.

That’s what I am thinking.  Let me know if you are interested.  Also, if you have any other ideas, pitch them.  I may teach a class on the subject.
