I received this question:

Ok, I know we haven’t actually finished this academic year yet, but I’m beginning to plan for next year now. I’d love for my daughter to take Latin 2 with you online, but we’ve got a time conflict with the Wed 4-4:55 CST Henle Latin 2 class you’ve got scheduled for next year.

She could do a class any time Wednesday 11am-3pm CST though. So I was wondering if she could join a different Latin 2 online class?? I have no idea if switching to a different Latin curriculum is possible at this point of her Latin learning. Please let me know what you think. Thank you!

Thank you!

Here is my reply:

Most programs spread First Year Latin over two years.  This means that Henle’s Second Year Latin actually counts as Latin 3.  It’s weird.

Your daughter has completed Henle’s First Year Latin in one year.  In any other program, this would count as Latin 1 and Latin 2.

This means she could jump into my Latin 3 class if she likes.

I am teaching the Latin 3 course on Tuesdays.  If the schedule works, she could join.  We will meet on Tuesdays, from 2:00 to 2:55 (central time zone).  More information here: https://dwanethomas.com/fables-and-foundations/
