I have taken Lingua Latina recorded with Mr Thomas before.  I am considering taking Spanish this year with the live class.

When does Spanish class start?  How much does it cost?  Would you recommend trying a new language or getting more fluent in latin?

Here is my reply:

I highly recommend Spanish (or Italian, or French) over dedicating more time to Latin.   

I have dedicated much of my life to Latin, and honestly, the more I read, the more elusive it seems.  I recommend my students simply read Lingua Latina, and the New Testament in Latin (at least some of it) and then move on to other languages.

The other languages are far more rewarding.  You can actually speak to other people in Spanish, for example.

Spanish starts next week (Tuesday, September 8).
