I received the following email:

Hi Dwane,

When you begin your live Lingua Latina classes again in September, will you start up wherever you left off (and if so, where was that)? Or are you starting back at the beginning?

Does LL incorporate rules on Latin? My one concern about LL is that if it doesn’t incorporate learning the rules of Latin, it will be great for someone who has a decent Latin background (and, thus, already knows the rules), but maybe not so good for students who don’t already have that understanding.

When in September will you begin again with your live classes?

Here is my reply:

I record every class I teach, and I only take them down if I am updating them.   Currently, all of the chapters for Lingua Latina are up and on my site 24/7.  I will not be teaching that book live again.

I have quite a few students who use the previous classes only.  In fact, many prefer this as they can move at their own rate.  Students are always welcome to contact me if they have any questions.

There are also forums for each class.  In the forums students can interact with each other and ask questions.

I will also be hosting a live Q and A each week just for Lingua Latina.  Probably on Tuesdays.  Still working out the details.  Those live Q and A’s will start after Labor Day.

As for the grammar of Latin, Lingua Latina teaches the grammar of Latin better and if far more detail than any course I have ever studied.  And, I think I have studied them all.  Ha!  I’ve been doing this for too long.

Let me know if you need more help!
