I am getting lots of questions about the live classes.

Two things happened.  Everyone went online due to Covid-19, and now my daytime classes barely work.  And, my allergies took me down.  The allergies happen every April/May, so I was planning to close my classes around this time anyway.

However, I have found that my allergies don’t stop me first thing in the morning, and that the class of Covid-19 isn’t online in the morning, so I have moved the major classes to the mornings.

Lingua Latina now meets every Monday – Saturday, and will continue meeting until we finish what we were working on in class, and until we finish the exercise book for the course: Exercitia Latina.   Students are welcome to join me each morning.  So far, it’s working so much better anyway.  Students like meeting for a half hour daily (adds up to three hours a week) instead of one hour, once a week.  I will likely never go back to the old way.  I know enough about language learning to know that a half hour a day is better than an hour once a week.

Second Year Latin by Robert Henle will meet on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  We may go to the Monday-Saturday schedule later, but right now, Compass Classroom and I are filming more Volumes of Word Up, and I have to leave for Nashville after teaching, and uploading all the classes.  So, right now, I don’t have the time.  Maybe later.

Even though classes are officially over, I have no intention of slowing down.  We will meet until we are finished with the books, or until my severe Wanderlust kicks in and I leave Tennessee for a while.  Neither of those events are happening anytime soon.
