After robbing the bank, the thieves absquatulated with the money.  

Absquatulate looks Latin.  Oddly enough, it was once popular to make up words that looked and sounded Latin.  They weren’t Latin words at all.  Conundrum is another example of a Latin word that looked and sounded Latin.  

Absquatulate is a combination of the Latin prefix ab (off, away) and the word squat.
